Bantham Village Stores & Coffee Shop
Bantham Village Stores and Coffee Shop combines a general village grocery store with a café/coffee shop. It is located towards the top end of the main street in Bantham, overlooking the Avon estuary.
The shop sells a range of general produce with much of it sourced from local farms and producers. They also stock a wide selection of beach products from buckets and spades to body boards.
The shop has a large terrace with panoramic views over the Avon estuary, Bigbury and Burgh Island. The decking area also has an innovative all-weather pod, seating up to 8 people, which can rotate up to 180 degrees in each direction allowing customers to continue to enjoy the view – even in the rain!
Between 9 and 11.30am the shop serves breakfast, including full English and vegetarian breakfasts, and a selection of croissants and pastries which are baked freshly at the shop every morning.
Lunch is served from 12pm and the menu includes a selection of sandwiches and baguettes, soup, a ploughman’s lunch and a Salcombe smoked mackerel salad.
A selection of coffees can be purchased throughout the day to drink-in or take-away and the shop is fully licensed to sell alcohol to enjoy on the terrace or to take-away.
Bantham shop is open daily from 9.00am with varying seasonal closing times.
