Funding Thurlestone Parish Church
The ministry and the many activities of Thurlestone Parish Church can only happen because of voluntary giving (Time & Money) and Fund-Raising Activities. Thank you to all who give of their time and money
What happens to money I give to Thurlestone Parish Church?
Your money goes towards running the church and supporting other causes. We aim to give away 5% of income to local, national and international Christian charities, you can see details of who we currently support, Here.
What are the costs of running Thurlestone Parish Church?
Like all parishes of the Church of England, a significant portion of the money you give goes to the Church of England (“Common Fund”) to pay for clergy salaries, pensions and the upkeep of buildings where clergy live.
The other regular running costs of Thurlestone Parish Church include: utilities (heat, light, broadband, etc.), insurance, routine maintenance (boiler services, electric inspections, church yard maintenance, etc.), and Fabric maintenance of the Church meeting room.
