Charities Supported by
All Saints' Church, Thurlestone

As a Church community we aim to give away 5% of income to local, national and international Christian charities.  Some background and links to more detail on the charities we support is given below.

Mission

Church Mission Society (CMS)

We support Nicci Maxwell a consultant in neonatal medicine who is based in Juba, the capital of South Sudan.  Nicci says "I divide my time between; (i) supporting the establishment of a neonatal service and training future paediatricians at the Al Sabah Children’s Hospital, and (ii) working in basic health care at Gorom Refugee Settlement." South Sudan has the highest rates of maternal and infant mortality in the world and fourth highest rates of both infant and child deaths, so good paediatric care is desperately needed.
