What we Do

Knowledge Sharing:

Energy:  Efficiency, Renewable Generation, Home Heating, Insulation and signposting grants and resources

Nature:  Encouraging biodiversity, wildlife gardening, composting and use of organic principles. Stewardship of land and reduction of air, river and ocean pollution. 

Sustainable Living: ​Making everyday changes to our habits at home such as water harvesting, reducing waste and plastics, using plant based products and making sustainable consumer choices.

Action / Projects:

Our current projects for 2023/4 include:

Wild Flower Meadows: Development and testing of a Mini Wild Flower Meadow in Thurlestone and scoping of other potential meadow sites in the parish.

Biodiversity:  Working with Thurlestone Church to increase biodiversity through ‘Devon Living Church Yards’ programme. ​

Composting: Increasing uptake of home composting in the Parish through access to demonstrations and education.

Water: Contributing to the local 5 Rivers ‘​Reducing Rainwater Run Off’ campaigns.
